Fabiola Hidalgo is a visual artist born in Mexico City based in Helsinki, Finland. In 2017 she became a member of the Helsinki’s art association, Helsingin Taiteilijaseura.

She has a master degree in Visual Arts from the Faculty of Arts and Design, UNAM in Mexico City in 2014 along with complementary studies in the Time and Space department from Kuvataideakatemia, The Academy of Fine Arts in Helsinki, Finland.

In her works she is interested in open windows to different spaces and moments, transporting viewers to glimpses of parallel universes. She works with colors inspired by chemical mixtures and minerals formed in salts, stones and crystals. Light and luminousness is a big part of her visual aesthetic. She draws inspiration from galactic formations and planets like Saturn and it’s moon Titan.

Fabiola likes to have different creative paths. Playfulness is an important part of her creative process. She believes in embracing flow and in-the-moment inspiration. She is currently working on multiple projects that include acrylic paintings, watercolors, drawings and collages.
